Kelimutu is a three twin crater with
a different color of water,located in village pemo,nusa tenggara timur
island,it has 1.631 metre of high from sea surface.
The western who first time found this
place is dutch military commandant,called van such telen. He wrote some
expedition journal then people read and start to come here.
The water of crater can change it's
color depend of the temperature and ingredient of mineral,normally they have
blue color but sometimes change into green,white,black or red.
The native people give the crater a
name,crater of tiwa ata mbupu is crater as a resting place of souls from older
people.tiwa nuwa muri koo fai is the crater in the middle,it is the place for
souls from young people,and the last crater of tiwu ata polo is crater only for
souls from wicked people.
Tempat ini
jadi makin terkenal sejak berita bung Karno sering berkunjung ke sini untuk
merenungkan nilai nilai pancasila,recommended place and so exotic...
