Bunga bangkai or amorphophallus
titanum is world bigest flower,can be found in tropical forest,exactly in
indonesia. Bunga bangkai grow with 2 step : vegetative and generative,in
vegetative phase,their stem will grow for 6 meter tall.
After 2 years,the stem will fall
down and they move to generative. In generative phase,this stem will come up
appear the sprout of future flower,if this plant got enough nutrition,the
growth fill fast and the flower will blossom soon. The center area of flower will produce rotten scent to invite insect as a prey.
Now in indonesia,these are place for cultivate
this flower,for exemple : bogor botanical garden and cibodas botanical garden.
