Surfing River : Ombak Bono

Ombak bono is a huge river that has anomaly of wave,this is the center place where water from malaka strait,south china sea and river lampar is assemble together. The wave is big as big like on beach,this wave come from meeting point between water sea enter to river and water river which will enter the sea,so the water makes big bump and produce the wave.

Located in kampar river,Riau city,Sumatera island. This river located in two district,one in district pelalawan and the other in district rokan,the native in pelalawan mention male bono,because the wave are biger ( the tall is 6 metre up ),but the native in rokan call the female bono,because the wave are smaller.

On the ancestor story said,the late warrior must cross this river to increase their strength,and if they want to cross,they will organize some permission ritual before. The tallest wave is happen in november until december,so many tourist visit here and doing great surfing.
